Week 10 Fantasy Rewind
by Paul Celmer
PHILADELPHIA (67) AT CLEVELAND (55)
In a game that proves the maxim "never underestimate the power of home field advantage," the previously undeafeated Soul were knocked off in large part due to the 4 rushing TDs by the Gladiators. Gladiator QB Raymond Philyaw was brutally efficient, although he relied heavily upon wide receiver Otis Amey for 4 of his 5 strikes beneath the yellow iron. Surging Soul QB Matt D'Orazio was injured and replaced by the healing Tony Graziani. Both Soul QBs were fairly effective despite the loss.

KANSAS CITY (50) AT UTAH (67)
Brigade head coach Danny White saves his job as Utah picks up their first win of the season. Brigade rookie quarterback D. Bryant had good fantasy numbers that included 2 rushes for TDs, but never really got the offense into high gear. But the real problem was the Brigade defense that was unable to stop the Blaze's QB Joe Germaine. On the other hand, the Blaze defense seems to have jelled with the addition of Eddie Canonico finally starting to produce results. Kansas City won the time of possesion battle but the Blaze had more total offensive yards (287 vs. 363).

SAN JOSE (35) AT ORLANDO (61)
San Jose continues an uneven season with a loss to the Predators. The loss is even more surprising because the Predators starting QB Shane Stafford was pulled in favor of backup Jake Eaton.Nothing went right for Sabercat QB Mark Greib, including a bizzare ricochet off of James Roe in the endzone that was popped up 20 feet in the air and caught by the Predators for an interception.

CHICAGO (51) AT TAMPA BAY (41)
Russ Michna completely took over this game in the second half. The Rush offensive line gave Michna all the time in the world to pass. And when he wasn't tossing the rock beneath the yellow iron, Michna was running it in, including an incredible power scramble for 25 yards and the TD. While superstar Damian Harrell was the focus of the Storm defense, Rush wide receiver Travis LaTendresse was left open and stepped up bigtime. The Rush were clearly hitting on all cylinders as evidenced by kicker Dan Frantz forcing a Storm fumble on the return. The Storm were hampered by nearly twice as many penalties as the Rush, including an unacceptable number of false starts.
