Jonathan Ruffin - New Orleans
The VooDoo have come full circle, re-signing kicker Jonathan Ruffin, who was cut for Alexandre Romero, who was cut for Todd France. Ruffin was not very effective in his first go-around with the VooDoo this year, so temper your expectations. Ruffin will get plenty of chances. It's whether he can convert that is the question.
Tony Graziani - Philadelphia
The Soul have placed Tony Graziani on injured reserve, effectively ending his season for fantasy owners. Graziani had been slow to recover from a knee injury, which he re-injured in his attempt to play against Columbus in Week 8. Graziani hasn't played a full season since 2005 and should be dropped from fantasy rosters for healthier options.
May 7, 2008
Anthony Hines - Grand Rapids
Anthony Hines has been released by the Rampage. Hines had 39 catches for 506 yards and 9 TDs for Grand Rapids but had sat out the last two contests. Hines was made expendable by the signing of Cole Magner. He should not be on your fantasy rosters.
Todd France - New Orleans
Kicker Todd France has been released by the VooDoo. France had been signed as a replacement kicker for Alexandre Romero and kept the job, hitting 24 of 29 extra points and 3 of 6 FG attempts for the VooDoo. Look for the VooDoo to sign a replacement kicker as the Week 11 game approaches.
May 6, 2008
Kevin Nickerson - Arizona
The Rattlers have released Kevin Nickerson. Nickerson got off to a great start to the season, catching 15 passes for 217 yards while scoring four times in the first two game. However, Nickerson failed to go over 100 yards in any of the remaining games and was inactive the past two weeks. Expect rookie Todd Devoe to get more chances with Nickerson no longer on the team.
Johnnie Harris - Dallas
The Desperados have waived Johnnie Harris. The veteran DS had 43 tackles and 5 assists on the season and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Pete Hunter, who had an impressive 10 tackles and 2 assists against Columbus.
Steve Azar - Utah
The Blaze have parted ways with kicker Steve Azar. Azar was 63 of 68 on PATs but only 2 of 6 on FGs. No word on who will replace Azar in the lineup for the Blaze but expect them to announce a signing soon.
May 2, 2008
Quincy Carter - Kansas City
The Brigade have signed former Dallas Cowboy, Quincy Carter. Carter last played indoor ball for the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings of af2, throwing 18 TD passes before being suspended indefinitely for missing team meetings. Brigade coach Kevin Porter stated that he'll start Carter along slowly, on the practice squad, and will monitor his progress. Fantasy owners need to be aware but don't expect Carter to start any time soon.
Clarence Lawson - Los Angeles
The Avengers have signed Clarence Lawson to take the place of the injured Arnold Parker. The Claw is a 9-yr veteran who played for Utah in 2007, collecting 50 solo tackles and 16 assists. Lawson will step right into the lineup for Los Angeles, and will free up Kevin Ingram to return to the offensive side of the field.
May 1, 2008
Chris Royal - Georgia
Chris Royal signed with the Georgia Force soon after the team placed James Whitley on injured reserve. Royal was a star in af2 but a disappointment in the AFL, spending time with Philadelphia and Cleveland this year without seeing any game time. Don't be tempted by Royal unless he gets in some playing time.
Ben Nelson - Colorado
Ben Nelson left last week's game against Chicago early with an ailing left knee. Apparently, the knee had been hurting Nelson all week and while he tried to play against he just could not make it through the game. Nelson had no catches and assisted on two tackles before sitting but does not appear on the injury report this week. Fantasy owners should exercise caution in starting Nelson this week unless they have no other choice.
Troy Bergeron - Georgia
Troy Bergeron was a late addition to last week's injury report and ended up sitting out the game, the 4th time this season that he has not played in a game. Fantasy owners have no choice but to sit Bergeron until he puts together a full healthy game. If his name is anywhere on the injury report, steer clear.
Clay Rush - Colorado
The Crush placed Clay Rush on injured reserve, meaning he'll miss the next four weeks. Rush will be replaced in the lineup by Deric Yaussi, a former University of Wyoming kicker who went 48 of 55 on extra points last season with Colorado ICE of the UIFL.
Robert Thomas - Colorado
The Crush have placed Robert Thomas on injured reserve, meaning he'll miss the next four weeks. Thomas had rushed for 47 yards and 4 TDs for fantasy owners, adding in an impressive 13 receptions for 136 yards and a TD, but should not be dropped from fantasy rosters.
Mike Brown - Philadelphia
The Soul have placed Mike Brown on injured reserve, meaning he'll miss the next four weeks. Brown was one of the highest scoring defensive backs in the fantasy game, having collected 29 solo tackles, 6 assists, 5 INTs, 974 return yards and 3 return TDs this season. Losing Brown will be a blow for fantasy owners. Dee Webb, Jeremy LeSueur and Rob Keefe will battle for more playing time in the Soul defensive backfield.
Brian Mance - Philadelphia
The Soul have placed Brian Mance on injured reserve, meaning he'll miss the next four weeks. Mance had 45 tackles and 9 assists for the Soul but was not reliable enough to be more than a DS2. Dee Webb, Jeremy LeSueur and Rob Keefe will battle for more playing time in the Soul defensive backfield.
Brent Holmes - Grand Rapids
The Rampage have signed Brent Holmes. Holmes has been with the Force and the Storm with mixed results, showing a lot of talent but getting released from both teams. If Holmes can reel in whatever problems are causing him to be cut he could be a fine performer down the fantasy stretch. With the lack of viable receivers on the waiver wires, Holmes is worth a chance if you have roster room.
Russ Michna - Chicago
Coach Mike Hohensee has decided to ride the hot hand and stick with Russ Michna as his starting quarterback for the Monday night tilt with Tampa Bay. Michna threw for 280 yards and 6 TDs, running for another and makes a much better starter for fantasy teams than Sherdrick Bonner. Fantasy owners should start Michna this week against a weak Tampa Bay defense.
April 25, 2008
Charles Frederick - Kansas City
Charles Frederick has been placed on injured reserve by the Brigade and will miss the next four weeks. Frederick was battling a knee injury that left him less than efficient and this roster move just adds to what is a disappointing season for his fantasy owners. With Frederick out of the lineup, the Brigade have activated Ces'are Manning from their practice squad.
April 24, 2008
Tony Graziani - Philadelphia
During a conference call today, Tony Graziani stated that he and Matt D'Orazio were splitting the reps in practice coming into the game against Dallas on Monday. Graziani said his knee feels "okay" and that he'll be evaluated on Monday to determine his starting status. Looks like a game-time decision and if Graziani can't go, Matt D'Orazio will step in again for the battle of the unbeatens.
David Davis - Los Angeles
The Avengers have cut kicker David Davis. Davis, the former af2 Kicker of the Year, was 4 of 5 on field goal attempts and had missed only 8 extra points on the season (out of 63 attempts). Davis was 19 of 21 in extra point attempts in his last two games, so it's a mystery as to why he was waived. Look for the Avengers to sign a kicker prior to gametime for Week 9.
Monty Montgomery - New York
The Dragons have signed Monty Montgomery and place Angel Estrada on injured reserve. Montgomery was released in week 7 by the Brigade and is a talented DS who can't seem to stay healthy. But with the Dragons defense playing so well, Montgomery may be worth a shot as a bye-week replacement on your fantasy team.
April 22, 2008
Matt D'Orazio - Philadelphia
Matt D'Orazio came on for an injured Tony Graziani and threw for 5 TDs in the win over Columbus. D'Orazio also ran in a score in leading the Soul to their 8th win of the season. Although Graziani insisted he would be fine, he seemed anything but fine. Owners will be faced with the quandry of which Soul QB to start against Dallas in Week 9, although it seems obvious that Graziani is not yet ready to play. Expect D'Orazio to start.
Tony Graziani - Philadelphia
Tony Graziani started for the Soul against the Destroyers, but re-injured his knee and was replaced by Matt D'Orazio in the 2nd quarter. Graziani made overtures to being healthy enough to get back into the game but obviously wasn't, as D'Orazio guided the Soul to their 8th straight win. Expect to see D'Orazio under center when the Soul take on Dallas in Week 9.
Russ Michna - Chicago
Russ Michna has been declared the starter for the Rush for this week's game against Colorado. Michna led the Rush to a win over the Rampage, going 28 of 33 for 300 yards with 5 TDs through the air and one on the ground, and is now 3-0 as a starter for Chicago. Expect this to be a permanent move, as Sherdrick Bonner is being phased out for a younger, more mobile quarterback in the Windy City.
April 16, 2008
Terrill Shaw - Tampa Bay
Terrill Shaw has been activated from Injured Reserve by the Storm in time for the game against the New York Dragons. Shaw was having a slow start to the season when he got hurt, collecting only 9 catches for 109 yards and 2 TDs in the first two games, and now will deal with the emerging Hank Edwards for catches in the somewhat idling Tampa Bay passing game. If you need to use Shaw as a WR3 for this week's matchup, do so. If you can live without him, give him a week, as the Dragons defense has been playing extremely well.
April 16, 2008
Sherdrick Bonner - Chicago
Sherdrick Bonner missed the monday night game against Kansas City with a knee injury. But Bonner looked like he could have played, yet instead watched Russ Michna lead the Rush to a last second victory. Rush faithful have been calling for Michna to start for some time now, so don't be surprised to see Bonner sit again this week against Grand Rapids. If you own Bonner, here's hoping you've snagged Michna from waivers.
April 15, 2008
Brent Holmes - Tampa Bay
Brent Holmes has been waived by the Tampa Bay Storm. Holmes is a highly competent receiver who had previously been waived by the Georgia Force. Fantasy owners could hold onto Holmes for a week or so, and if he isn't re-signed it's time to part ways.
Steve Bellisari - New Orleans
The VooDoo have placed Steve Bellisari on injured reserve. By rule, Bellisari will miss at least the next four weeks. Bellisari was injured early in week 1 but returned to find his job taken by Danny Wimprine, who has led the VooDoo to a 5-1 record in the past six weeks. Fantasy owners holding onto Bellisari should now consider dropping him for healthier options.
Sherdrick Bonner - Chicago
Sherdrick Bonner stood on the sidelines in uniform as Russ Michna took the starting reigns for Chicago when they played the Brigade. The team reported that Bonner was held out with a knee injury but could have played if necessary. It seems like the team is grooming Michna to take over as starting QB and Bonner owners should move to pick up Michna now.
April 13, 2008
Lonnie Ford - Los Angeles
Lonnie Ford scored for the second consecutive week. Ford powered in from 1-yard out in the 3rd quarter when L.A. broke open the game against Utah. Ford is still not getting a consistent number of carries in the Avengers offense, so only look at him as a decent FB2 until his carries improve.
LaShaun Ward - Los Angeles
LaShaun Ward had a huge game against Utah, catching 7 passes for 169 yards and 4 TDs against the Blaze. Ward caught two 40+ yard TD passes from Tim Hicks. It was Ward's first 100 yard game of the season and it was mainly due to the fact that Kevin Ingram focused more on the defensive side of the ball. Ward is a good bye-week replacement but don't expect a repeat of those stats.
Timon Marshall - Los Angeles
Timon Marshall has been struggling on the offensive side of the ball, catching only 5 balls for 61 yards and a score against Utah. Marshall hasn't had a 100-yard receiving game since week 3 and has only scored twice in the past four weeks. Marshall's fantasy stats are saved by his return skills (he had 164 yards and a TD in week 7), as he's still a good WR2 on most teams.
Kevin Ingram - Los Angeles
Kevin Ingram shifted to defense after the injury to Arnold Parker, finishing the game against Utah with 4 tackles and only one catch for 12 yards and a TD. After Ingram's outbursts the past few weeks, this return to Ironman Ball must not have been welcomed by fantasy owners. Ingram should be back on the offensive side of the ball against Cleveland.
Tim Hicks - Los Angeles
Tim Hicks started his second straight game for the Avengers, throwing for 284 yards and 8 TDs against the Blaze. With Hicks under center, the Avengers put up 79 points, their high total of the year. Expect Hicks to get the start next week against the Gladiators, as he's brought some punch to the Avengers offense.
Sonny Cumbie - Los Angeles
Sonny Cumbie missed his second straight game in favor of Tim Hicks in the Avengers lineup. Cumbie has been a disappointment this season and may have to fight for his roster spot with Tim Hicks playing well. Cumbie was well enough to play but the fact is that Hicks was selected to start. Keep an eye on this situation next week versus Cleveland.
Eddie Canonico - Utah
Eddie Canonico led the Blaze defense with 6 tackles and an assist against Los Angeles. Canonico was back in the lineup after mysteriously missed the week 6 game and it seems safe to start him as your DS1 against San Jose.
JJ McKelvey - Utah
JJ McKelvey had an amazing game against the Avengers, catching 11 passes for 171 yards and 5 TDs. It was McKelvey's second 5 TD game of the season and his third 11-catch, 100+ yard effort. McKelvey has surely benefitted by being part of the potent Blaze offense and should be in your lineup as a excellent WR2 against San Jose.
Aaron Boone - Utah
Aaron Boone finished the game against the Avengers with 8 catches for 78 yards and 2 TDs. Boone now has 67 catches for 694 yards and 11 TDs on the season, making him an excellent WR2 in all formats. Boone should see more open room against the Sabercats in week 8.
Huey Whittaker - Utah
Huey Whittaker continued his fine season, catching 8 passes for 94 yards and a score against Los Angeles. Whittaker took a back seat to JJ McKelvey for the day but his 59 catch, 782 yard, 16 TD season has to have fantasy owners feeling like sweepstakes winners. Whittaker and all the Blaze receivers should continue their fine seasons against San Jose.
Joe Germaine - Utah
Joe Germaine threw for 362 yards and 9 TDs against Los Angeles. Despite the fact that the Blaze are losing, Germaine continues to be an excellent fantasy provider. Germaine now leads the league with 2239 yards and 47 passing TDs, and is most likely the top scoring QB in your fantasy league. The Blaze take on the Sabercats in week 8.
Josh White - Dallas
Josh White rushed four times for 16 yards against the VooDoo. White had no multiple TD games in 2008, but consistently gets 4-6 carries per game, which makes him an acceptable FB1 in the current fantasy environment. Dallas is on bye in week 8.
Anthony Armstrong - Dallas
Anthony Armstrong finished with 6 catches for 58 yards and a score against New Orleans. It was his first score in three weeks and only his 6th on the season. Armstrong is third choice in the Dallas offense and unless Nash or Pettis miss time he's nothing better than a fair WR3. Dallas is on bye in week 8.
Marcus Nash - Dallas
Marcus Nash got lost in the Will Pettis Show against the VooDoo, ending up with 7 catches for 73 yards and a TD. Nash is having a WR2 year with WR1 moments, but should have no problem shattering last year's numbers if he stays healthy. Dallas is on bye in week 8.
Will Pettis - Dallas
Will Pettis returned to the forefront of the Dallas offense against the VooDoo, with a 10-catch, 129-yard, 5 TD receiving game. Pettis also ran for a TD and contributed 97 return yards. Pettis had been in a bit of a slump, with only one TD in the last three weeks. Dallas is on bye in week 8.
Clint Dolezel - Dallas
Clint Dolezel threw for 278 yards and 7 TDs in the win over the VooDoo. Dolezel wasn't particularly sharp, connecting on only 25 of his 41 attempts, but now has a bye week to shake off some of the rust.
Todd France - New Orleans
Todd France took over for Alexandre Romero, who was sidelined with illness. France hit 5 of 6 extra points and an 18-yd field and was impressive enough that the VooDoo released Romero after the game. France should have plenty of opportunities to put up points when the VooDoo travel to take on the Rattlers in week 8.
Javarus Dudley - New Orleans
Javarus Dudley caught 6 passes for 91 yards and 2 TDs against the Desperados, narrowly missing his third 100 yard game of the season. Dudley has not been as dynamic as teammate James Jordan, but still plays like a decent WR2 and can be played at that spot against the Rattlers in week 8.
James Jordan - New Orleans
James Jordan caught 7 passes for 79 yards and his 17th TD of the season during the game against Dallas. It was the first game all season where Jordan did not record multiple scores. Jordan has been playing like a WR1 this season and should have another 100-yard, multi-TD game in week 8 against Arizona.
Wendell Williams - New Orleans
Wendell Williams is not having the breakout receiving year predicted, as his 6 catches for 67 yards and one TD against Dallas now gives him 25 catches for 305 yards and 4 TDs on the season. However, Williams is a threat in the return game and took back his third kick of the season, this one for 56 yards. We'd like to see more catches out of Williams, but his return abilities help make him a good WR3.
Danny Wimprine - New Orleans
Danny Wimprine had a tough night against the Dallas defense, connecting on 20 of 30 pass attempts for only 241 yards and 4 TDs. Wimprine was sacked twice and hit often. He should rebound nicely at Arizona in week 8.
April 12, 2008
Tyronne Jones - New Orleans
Tyronne Jones left the game against the Desperados in the first quarter with neck and back injuries after slamming into the boards. He did not return to the game, finishing with one catch for four yards. His status for next week's game against Arizona is unknown.
Otis Amey - Cleveland
Otis Amey had a huge game against the Crush in a losing effort, catching 9 passes for 123 yards and 6 TDs. Amey has been overshadowed by Robert Redd in recent weeks, but was open often as Redd was blanketed by Rashad Floyd most of the night. Amey now has 35 catches for 429 yards and 15 TD catches on the season, and makes a nice WR3 when the Gladiators travel to Los Angeles.
Raymond Philyaw - Cleveland
Raymond Philyaw threw for 316 yards and 7 TDs against the Crush, but could not pull out the win for Cleveland. Philyaw now has two consecutive 300+ yard games and should continue his statistical success against the Avengers in week 8.
Robert Redd - Cleveland
Robert Redd had a good game against Colorado, catching 9 passes for 100 yards but with only one score. It was Redd's third consecutive 100 yard receiving night but he's now only scored twice in three weeks. Redd should get back to multiple scores when the Gladiators travel west to take on the defensively-challenged Avengers in week 8.
Marlion Jackson - Cleveland
Marlion Jackson ran for 23 yards and 2 TDs against the Crush, giving him 141 yards rushing and 7 rushing TDs on the season. Jackson leads the AFL in rushing and has been a great pickup for fantasy owners, so make sure he's in your lineup as a FB1 against Los Angeles.
Brandon Hefflin - Cleveland
Brandon Hefflin led the Cleveland defense with 9 tackles and 5 assists in the game against the Crush. Hefflin is on pace for a 112 tackle, 48 assist season, which would make him one of the top tacklers in the fantasy game. Start Hefflin at all times.
Alex Teems - Cleveland
Alex Teems surprised with 8 tackles and 1 assist against the Crush. However, Teems only has 18 tackles on the season, so owners shouldn't expect that kind of production on a regular basis.
John Dutton - Colorado
John Dutton had his second consecutive 300 yard, 8 TD game on Friday night against the Gladiators. Dutton finished with 314 yards passing and has been a different players in the past two weeks. Colorado has been making the most of their possessions lately and Dutton should put up good stats when the Crush travel to Kansas City in week 8.
Ben Nelson - Colorado
Ben Nelson is beginning to play like a first round pick, collecting 13 catches for 142 yards and 2 TDs against Cleveland. Nelson now has 37 catches for 399 yards and 10 TDs in the last three games. Start him as a WR1 when he matches up with the Brigade in week 8.
Rashad Floyd - Colorado
Rashad Floyd is starting to heat up. Floyd finished the Cleveland game with 9 tackles, 2 assists and 2 INTs, giving him 42 tackles and 6 INTs on the season. Floyd now has 5 INTs in the last three weeks and should always be in your starting lineup.
Willie Quinnie - Colorado
Willie Quinnie 9 passes for 64 yards and 4 TDs against the Gladiators. Quinnie is quietly putting together a WR2 season and is on pace for a 114-catch, 1224-yard, 32 TD season. Quinnie can be used in that capacity in week 8 against Kansas City.
Brad Pyatt - Colorado
Brad Pyatt had 10 catches for 74 yards and 2 TDs against Cleveland. It was Pyatt's second multi-TD game of the season, as his catches and yardage have been generally uninspiring. Pyatt makes a decent WR3 against the Brigade in week 8 and has the chance to top the 100-yard barrier for the first time this season.
April 11, 2008
Charles Pauley - Georgia
Charles Pauley has been placed on injured reserve by the Force. Pauley had joined the Force in Week 3, immediately taking over the WR1 role for the team, but had tailed off in past weeks. The Force are on bye this week, meaning Pauley will miss at least the next three games. Fantasy owners should stash Pauley and wait for him to return.
Whitney Bell - Grand Rapids
Whitney Bell has been placed on injured reserve by the Rampage. By rule, Bell will miss the next four weeks. With Bell and Chris Ryan out, Alan Krutulis will take over the running duties for the Rampage.
April 10, 2008
Marvin Brown - Tampa Bay
The Storm waived FB Marvin Brown. Brown had been used sparingly during the season to spell Torrance Marshall and should not have been on your fantasy roster.
Lang Campbell - Arizona
Lang Campbell has been activated from the injured reserve list and should start against Tampa Bay. The Arizona offense has been sagging without Campbell, who should be in line for good stats against the Storm defense.
April 9, 2008
Sonny Cumbie - Los Angeles
Sonny Cumbie was sat last week in favor of Tim Hicks, but should be in the starting lineup this week against Utah. However, Cumbie has been a big disappointment so far this season. While Utah seems a likely place for him to break his slump, use caution in putting Cumbie into your lineup unless you have no other choices.
Tony Graziani - Philadelphia
Bret Munsey stated yesterday that Tony Graziani is healthy and will start Saturday at San Jose. Munsey did give the disclaimer "unless he looks bad in practice" but expect Graziani to be behind center for the trip West. Set your lineup accordingly.
James Roe - San Jose
James Roe is listed as Questionable on the injury report for week 7 due to his injured hamstring. Roe has missed the last two games for the Sabercats, and with the emergence of the young receivers in the last few weeks probably won't be pushed back into the lineup until he's completely healthy. Expect Roe to miss this week's game and perhaps a few more.
Rodney Wright - San Jose
Rodney Wright is listed as Questionable with a groin injury. Wright missed last week's game, a week after returning with a 14-catch, 165-yard performance in Week 5. Owners should keep Wright on the bench until he plays a few games without injury and should definitely expect to be without Wright in Week 7.
Whitney Bell - Grand Rapids
Whitney Bell is listed as Questionable on the injury report with an ankle injury. Bell rushed 3 times for 18 yards last week and has been playing well lately, but should be out of your lineup for Week 7.
Donovan Morgan - Chicago
Donovan Morgan is listed as Probable on the injury report for the Monday night game against Kansas City. Morgan missed the Week 6 game and is nothing better than a distant WR2, as he hasn't topped 100 yards in any game this season. Morgan should play but shouldn't be relied on for your fantasy team.
April 2, 2008
Clint Dolezel - Dallas
According to the Desperados website, Clint Dolezel will start this week against the Cleveland Gladiators. Dolezel returned to practice Wednesday after playing golf on Tuesday and should be fine to go this week. Start him on your fantasy team, as Clint must be chomping at the bit to throw long.
Joshua Richey - San Jose
The Sabercats have activated Joshua Richey from injured reserve. Richey was highly regarded coming into the 2008 season but has not played a down due to injury. Keep and eye on Richey, as he'll get a chance to make some plays this week against the VooDoo.
Rohan Davey - Cleveland
Rohan Davey has signed on to be the backup quarterback in Cleveland. Davey will backup Raymond Philyaw, and could see some playing time with Philyaw nursing an injured hand. Davey is not worth owning on fantasy rosters except as a distant backup QB.
John Fitzgerald - Grand Rapids
John Fitzgerald has signed with the Rampage. The departure of Adrian McPherson opened up a roster spot for Fitzgerald, who will act as the primary backup to James MacPherson.
Adrian McPherson - Grand Rapids
The Rampage have placed Adrian McPherson on recallable waivers. McPherson's days as the starting quarterback were finished with the successful offensive explosion led by new QB James MacPherson, so Adrian should not have been on your fantasy team at this point anyway. If he is, cut him for other options.
April 1, 2008
Matt Kohn - Kansas City
Matt Kohn will miss his second straight game with an ailing hand. D. Bryant will get the start in place of Kohn, so keep Kohn on the bench for the game against Georgia.
D. Bryant - Kansas City
D. Bryant has been named the starter for the Brigade against the Force. With Matt Kohn nursing a hurt hand and John Fitzgerald being release, the offense will look to Bryant for a spark. Bryant threw for 4680 yards and 102 TDs for the af2 South Georgia Wildcats in 2007. If you need QB help, give Bryant a chance as your backup.
John Fitzgerald - Kansas City
John Fitzgerald has been released by the Brigade. Fitzgerald was not performing the way the Brigade thought he would, losing 6 fumbles and throwing 5 interceptions while going 0-2 as the starter. D. Bryant will start for the Brigade in week 6 against the Force.
Ryan Bowers - Grand Rapids
Ryan Bowers was waived by the Gladiators and immediately claimed by the Rampage. Bowers has 18 tackles and 5 assists on the season, and has not been a good fantasy performer. Bowers should see some playing time but there are better DS options for your fantasy team.
Cornelius Bonner - Cleveland
The Gladiators have released Cornelius Bonner. The 8-year veteran had only 9 catches for 173 yards and 3 TDs for the Gladiators and should not be on a fantasy team.
Willis Marshall - Cleveland
Willis Marshall has signed with the Cleveland Gladiators. Marshall was being used mainly on returns by Georgia before being released and has never been an outstanding fantasy performer, so look elsewhere with your roster spots.
Chris Angel - Colorado
Colorado has released DS Chris Angel. His roster spot will be filled by Zach Norton, who had 3 tackles and 2 pass breakups against the VooDoo. Angel was second on the team with 20 tackles and 4 assists but should no longer be on your fantasy team.
March 31, 2008
Danny Wimprine - New Orleans
Danny Wimprine led the VooDoo to their 4th straight victory, throwing for 314 yards and 6 TDs, while running for one more score. Wimprine has thrown for 24 TDs against only 2 INTs since taking over the starting job from injured Steve Bellisari and has the VooDoo playing great football. If Wimprine is not your starter, he should be when the VooDoo host the Sabercats in week 6.
Aaron Boone - Utah
Aaron Boone continued his impressive season with 14 catches for 170 yards and 2 TDs against Georgia. Boone was a big disappointment in 2007 but has already surpassed last seasons numbers with 53 total catches for 541 yards and 8 scores.
Huey Whittaker - Utah
Huey Whittaker continued his amazing season with 11 catches for 161 yards and 4 TDs against the Force. It was Whittaker's 4th straight 100+ yard game and brings his season totals to 45 catches for 621 yards and 12 receiving TDs. Whittaker trails only Chris Jackson in scoring in 2008 and should be able to produce against the Soul in Week 6.
Kevin Ingram - Los Angeles
Kevin Ingram had his second consecutive great game, catching 13 passes for 148 yards and 4 TDs against the Rampage. Ingram has risen as Timon Marshall has fallen, and now has 25 catches for almost 261 yards and 6 TDs in the past two weeks.
Joe Germaine - Utah
Joe Germaine threw for 356 yards and 7 TDs in the loss to the Force. Offensive production hasn't been the problem for the Blaze, as Germaine leads the AFL in yards (1627) and TD passes (33). Germaine faces a tough test when the Blaze travel to Philadelphia, but he should still be able to rack up some impressive stats.
Chris Greisen - Georgia
Chris Greisen had his first 8 TD game of the year against the Blaze, connecting on 21 of 32 attempts for 248 yards. Greisen now has thrown 29 TDs on the season and is on pace for another 100+ TD season in what is still a very potent Force offense.
Harold Wells - Columbus
Harold Wells continued his wonderful season, running for 18 yards and two scores, while collected a third TD on a pass reception. Wells now has 11 TDs on the season and only has one game in 2008 where he did not score multiple TDs. Wells will look to keep up his hot play against Tampa Bay in Week 6.
A.J. Haglund - San Jose
A.J. Haglund continued his perfect season, hitting 5 extra points and all three of his field goal attempts against the Brigade. Haglund has now hit all 34 of his extra points and all 10 of his field goal attempts on the season.
Darius Watts - Philadelphia
Darius Watts had a successful debut for the Soul, catching 6 passes for 66 yards and a score against Tampa Bay. Watts is playing third fiddle behind Chris Jackson and Larry Brackins but could have good enough days to warrant being used as a WR3 on your fantasy team.
Siaha Burley - Arizona
Siaha Burley returned to the lineup for the Rattlers, finishing with 9 catches for 86 yards and 4 TDs against the Rush. Burley had ben battling hamstring problems but seemed completely healthy. Fantasy owners have been waiting for Burley to return healthy and he should be in your lineup when the Rattlers return from the week 6 bye.
Chris Martin - Grand Rapids
Chris Martin had an amazing game for the Rampage against the Avengers, making 8 tackles, an assist, recovering a fumble and returning three kicks for touchdowns. Martin totalled 249 return yards on the day. Martin has been a consistent tackler for the Rampage, but his return ability makes him an extremely valuable DS pickup for your fantasy team.
Tiger Jones - Georgia
Tiger Jones had a very successful debut for the Force. Jones replaced Troy Bergeron in the starting lineup, finishing with 9 catches for 131 yards and 5 TDs against Utah. Jones was signed after an impressive rookie season with the af2 Louisville Fire and should continue to produce as long as Bergeron misses time. Use a waiver move on him if you have room on your roster.

Damien Groce - Georgia
The Force have traded for Damien Groce. Groce comes over from the Dragons in the midst of a disappointing season, with only 13 catches for 151 yards in 2008. Groce is moving into a better offense but it remains to be seen where he'll get catches on a potent Georgia offense that already features Charles Pauley, Troy Bergeron and Carl Morris. Think of Groce as a WR3 and see how he adjusts to the Force offense.
Sedrick Robinson - Tampa Bay
The Storm have placed Sedrick Robinson on injured reserve, meaning he will miss the next 4 weeks of the season. After a quick start, Robinson had a disappointing Week 3. He should not be on your fantasy roster at this time.
David Saunders - Tampa Bay
The Storm have activated David Saunders from injured reserve. Saunders will take the place of injured Sedrick Robinson in the starting lineup and is a consistent, if not flashly, performer. The 8th year veteran had 68 catches for 550 yards and 18 TDs for Columbus last year, and should be considered a WR4 against Philadelphia in Week 5.
Darius Watts - Philadelphia
The Soul have activated Darius Watts from injured reserve in time for the Week 5 matchup against Tampa Bay. Watts should see playing time, especially with Clif Dell being released earlier in the week. Watts has experience playing with the Denver Broncos but it remains to be seen how he'll adjust to the indoor game. Get Watts on your roster, but give him a game before decided whether he should be in your active lineup.
Jeremiah Pope - New York
Jeremiah Pope has been waived by the Dragons. Pope has spent the entire season in injured reserve and should not be on your fantasy roster.
Willis Marshall - Georgia
Willis Marshall has been waived by the Force. Marshall was being used mainly on returns and should not have been on your fantasy team.

Eddie Canonico - Utah
Eddie Canonico has been acquired by the Utah Blaze in a trade with the Avengers. Canonico is 5th in the league in tackles with 26.5 and provides the Blaze with a consistent tackling presence in the defensive backfield. This doesn't change a thing for fantasy owners, who should have Canonico in their starting lineup.
Aaron Garcia - New York
According to reports on the Dragons website, Aaron Garcia will start in Week 5 versus the Desperados. Garcia has been injured much of this season and the Desperados have historically owned the Dragons lately, so fantasy owners would be wise to keep Garcia on the bench this week. If Garcia plays the entire game, he will be a huge boost to New York's offense and faces much better matchups down the line.

Jonathan Ruffin - New Orleans
The VooDoo have waived Jonathan Ruffin. Ruffin was 28 of 33 on extra points and a miserable 3 of 10 on field goal attempts. Alex Romero will handle the kicking duties for one of the hotter offenses in the league and is worth picking up this week when the VooDoo travel to Colorado.
Alex Romero - New Orleans
Alex Romero has been signed to handle the kicking duties for the VooDoo. Romero was a standout kicker with Nichols State, hitting on 23 of 40 field goal attempts and 85 of 93 extra points in his college career. With the VooDoo offense tacking up numbers in droves, Romero is worth a shot in Week 5, especially against a so-so Crush defense.
Rohan Davey - New York
Rohan Davey has been placed on recallable waivers by the Dragons. Davey's performance has been dismal lately, throwing a pass returned for an INT against the Soul and completing less than half of his attempts versus the Rattlers. Juston Wood will serve as the QB for the time being, but fantasy owners should steer clear of the Dragons QB position until Aaron Garcia returns.
Clif Dell - Philadelphia
Clif Dell has been waived by the Soul. Dell had been just okay this season, with 12 catches for 117 yards and 2 TDs in two games. Expect the Soul to sign another receiver or to activate Darius Watts prior to the Week 5 matchup with Tampa Bay.

James MacPherson - Grand Rapids
James MacPherson is expected to start for the Rampage tonight against the Brigade. MacPherson completed 17 of 25 passes for 204 yards and four scores against Chicago and is being given a trial run as the starter. If you've got MacPherson on your team, take a wait-and-see approach.
Will Pettis - Dallas
Will Pettis left the game against San Jose after a tough hit by Marquis Floyd. Pettis lay on the ground for several seconds after suffering a concussion on the play and did not return to the game. Keep an eye on his status heading into Week 5.
