Shaun King led the Gladiators offense to perfection, pushing the Rampage onto their heels from the very first play from scrimmage: a 41-yd TD strike to Kevin Prentice, who set a record for the most receiving TDs in a game. Matt Sauk filled in admirably for injured Chad Salisbury and spread the ball around nicely.

Despite Damian Harrell being hampered by a quad injury, the Crush had just enough to beat the tough Kansas City Brigade. Willie Quinnie helped pick up the slack when Harrell was out. The Brigade hung close to the Crush all game long but could never catch up to Colorado completely. Raymond Philaw and Jerel Myers turned in good games, while Charles Frederick showed he's definitely around to stay in the Brigade offense. The Brigade only rushed for 18 yards a week after rushing for 131.
