Never Too Late to Start Playing Fantasy Arena Football!
By Paul Celmer
Question: Is it ever too late to send a thank you note to your grandmother for that sweater she knitted you last Christmas?
Answer: Absolutely not. There is always time to make amends.
Question: Is it ever too late to say you are sorry for being so excited about the start of Arena Football season that you forgot your anniversary?
Answer: Certainly not (assuming you can first defrost yourself from your night locked outside in the cold and get back into the warm house, of course).
In the same way, it is never too late to join an Arena Fantasy Football League.
Sure, I know that the first game of the season has come and gone. But that does not mean you should be deprived of the joy of managing a fantasy football team. There is a solution.
First, Arena Football, unlike the NFL, does not really have an official pre-season. And this lack of televised practice games can cause havoc with Arena fantasy football drafts. In fact, one reason we started our fantasy analysis website was out of frustration at not having accurate player information before the regular season began. So we found a simple and elegant solution to our problems. We just called the first week or two of the regular season our “preseason,” and only then when we had a good idea of who was actually starting for any given team that we began our competition in earnest.
So, if you still want to play at this late date, find a league management site that is willing to work with you (we have never had any problems with GoalLineSoftware.com) and start your season any time you want. And if you are having trouble finding enough players for a league, go to the official ArenaFootball.com fan message boards to find other procrastinators, or send us an email and we will see if we can find a league to fit you into.
No one deserves to be left out in the cold.
