The Stat Guy's Pickups for Week 11

Brandon Hefflin DS (Columbus)

Week 10 Stat Line: 10 tackles

This guy has become an overnight star as an AFL DS. Two straight games of 10 plus tackles means this guy is the real deal folks. I would now declare him a solid every week starter. This guy is all over the field tackling receivers, batting balls down, and intercepting passes. His two week performance has come out of nowhere. Pat yourself on the back if you took my advice to grab this guy and start him last week. If for any odd reason this guy is available, grab him immediately.

Curtis Fagan OS (Arizona)

Week 10 State Line: 11 receptions, 187 yards three TDs, one tackle

Now this is the type of performance that could earn Fagan a permanent OS spot for the Rattlers. He was the clear favorite target for QB Shedrick Bonner as no other receiver had more than three receptions. With Darrell Jones and Damien Groce both nursing injuries, if he can stay healthy, he should remain productive down the stretch for any fantasy team. This could be the next "Ben Nelson type" of player in San Jose who plays the team's original OS right out of town due to an injury. Week 11 should give everyone a better idea of good this guy can be.

Aaron Boone WR (KC)

Week 10 Stat Line: 11 receptions, 129 yards, and two TDs

Boone was solid in his first ever start as an AFL receiver. Boone led all Brigade receivers in TDs and yards. Boone's size (6'2") makes him an attractive target for QB Chris Sanders to throw to in the red zone. Brigade OS Jerel Myers seems to be the go to guy for the Brigade, but with as bad as the Brigade defense is, Boone should see the field a lot and remain productive.

Chris Sanders QB (KC)

Week 10 Stat Line: 280 yards passing, four TD’s, nine rushes for 12 yards, and three TDs

Sanders single handedly kept the Brigade in the game last week against Georgia with this performance. Anytime you can get a QB that passes and runs, he will be a fantasy impact. Sanders now has nine passing TDs and five rushing TDs the past two weeks. Impressive stats considering he really does not have any weapons to throw the ball to. The Brigade also own one of the worst AFL defenses which means Sanders stays on the field a lot. Fantasy wise, this guy is at least worth a back-up QB spot for the playoffs.

Andy McCullough WR/LB (Colorado)

Week 10 Stat Line: 5 receptions 69 yards, two TDs, one tackle, one interception

McCullough plays second fiddle to OS Damien Harrell. When McCullough has been healthy, he has been very productive on the field and seems to be a perfect fit for the Crush offense opposite Damien Harrell. Standing at 6'4", it is hard for defenders to guard him one on one. Colorado loves to throw the ball and when Damien Harrell is not open, Duttton has the confidence to throw the ball McCullough's way. The Crush like to score points, and McCollough is usually involved. McCullough is a sneaky play this week against a bad Grand Rapids pass defense.
