Sit 'em and Start 'em for Week 6
Each week, Arena Football Online gives you definitive recommendations for the fantasy players to start in your lineup and those to sit down for better options.
This week, we have more player recommendations for you, based on performance, matchup and intuition.

Clint Dolezel - Dallas What do you do with a Hall of Fame quarterback who plays with three of the best receivers in the game AND an offense tailored to his strengths? Why, play him, of course. Even in Chicago against the tough Rush D, Dolezel has the weapons and tools to make you proud. |
Other quarterbacks with favorable matchups: Mark Grieb (San Jose) vs Utah, Joe Germaine (Utah) vs San Jose, Shane Stafford (Tampa Bay) vs Kansas City |
Andy Kelly - Kansas City The old pro is still ticking, setting records every time he swings his arm forward. Unfortunately, the Brigade offense is in a rut and Kelly is getting hit with more frequency than a Whack A Mole. The home field won't help much either. |
Other quarterbacks with unfavorable matchups: John Kaleo (Columbus) vs New York, Justin Wood (New York) vs Columbus, John Fitzgerald (Austin) vs Georgia |
Siaha Burley - Utah Germaine to Burley is the biggest thing in Utah since Park City, and with the way Siaha makes defenders looked glued to the turf (Barry Sanders sidesteps, anyone?) makes him a great option this week in what will be a shoot-out against San Jose. The fact that the Utah D can't stop a breeze means Burley is always looking for points. |
Other Offensive Specialists with favorable matchups: Tony Locke (Los Angeles) vs Orlando, Damien Harrell (Colorado) vs Grand Rapids, Carl Bond (Columbus) vs New York |
Steve Smith - Kansas City Unlike his NFL namesake, this Double S can't seem to get untracked, and the problems of the Brigade offense isn't going to help matters any time soon. Hard to keep the numbers up when your QB is staring at the scoreboard directly above his own head. |
Other Offensive Specialists with unfavorable matchups: Kevin Swayne (New York) vs Columbus, Marcus Knight (Philadelphia) vs Las Vegas, Damien Groce (Arizona) vs Nashville |
Lawrence Samuels - Tampa Bay Samuels is Top 3 in receiving yards, Top 10 in catches and has 9 TDs on the year. And now he faces the Kansas City defense in complete disarray. What more should I tell you, but get him in the lineup. |
Other Wide Receivers with favorable matchups: James Roe (San Jose) vs Utah, Bobbie Sippio (Tampa Bay) vs Kansas City, Kevin Ingram (Los Angeles) vs Orlando, Will Pettis (Dallas) vs Chicago |
Randy Gatewood - Arizona Gatewood is the consumate professional, but has been completely neutralized in the past few weeks, coming up with 7 catches for 84 yards with 1 TD. His tackles numbers help, but it's best to look elsewhere this week vs the tough Nashville D. |
Other Wide Receivers with unfavorable matchups: Cory Fleming (Nashville) vs Arizona, Anthony Hines (Grand Rapids) vs Colorado, Sean Scott (Philadelphia) vs Las Vegas |
Bob McMillen - Chicago McMillen set the all-time rushing record and lost it a play later. And you don't think he's out to prove something this week? He gave the ball to his kid, for crying out loud. Big Bob sets the record with some to spare this time around. |
Other Fullbacks with favorable matchups: Robert Thomas (Georgia) vs Austin, Chad Dukes (Philadelphia) vs Las Vegas, Frank Carter (Nashville) vs Arizona, Phil Glover (San Jose) vs Utah |
Dawan Moss - Kansas City Moss went wild back in Week 4, surely prompting a bunch of owners to grab him on waivers. Since then, he's come up with 14 total yards and 3 tackles. Show us what you got, Dawan, and maybe you'll get off this list. |
Other Fullbacks with unfavorable matchups: Leroy Thompson (Columbus) vs New York, Duke Pettijohn (Dallas) vs Chicago, Saul Patu (Colorado) vs Grand Rapids |
Kahlil Carter - Nashville The Nashville D is among the best in the league, and while it's difficult to predict tackle stats, Carter has been playing well since returning from injury, with 19 tackles and an INT in his last two games. Start him and let the numbers pile up. |
Other Defensive Specialists with favorable matchups: Damon Mason (Austin) vs Georgia, Kevin Gaines (Philadelphia) vs Las Vegas, Rashad Floyd (Colorado) vs Grand Rapids, Jermaine Jones (Dallas) vs Chicago, Dahnel Singfield (New York) vs Columbus |
Johnnie Harris - Grand Rapids Johnnie Defense started the season strong, but has slumped of late with 5 tackles in the last two games. He's been saved by 2 INTs in those games, but against Colorado he'll be hard pressed. Maybe he took his Defensive Player of the Week award too seriously. |
Other Defensive Specialists with unfavorable matchups: Kenny McEntyre (Orlando) vs Los Angeles, Denario Smalls (Kansas City) vs Tampa Bay, Cecil Doggette (Columbus) vs New York |
Remy Hamilton - Los Angeles If I need to tell you this, you might be in deep trouble. Hamilton is the best kicker in the league, rarely misses, plays with a coach that has confidence in the kicking game and even gets a few tackles a game. Hard to top Remy. |
Other Kickers with favorable matchups: Todd France (Philadelphia) vs Las Vegas, Tony Dotson (Austin) vs Georgia, Brian Schmitz (San Jose) vs Utah |
Clay Rush - Colorado Colorado just doesn't kick field goals and when they do, the only thing Rush can hit is the nets. Rush's per game average is a pitiful 6.8ppg and he's gone for 10 total points in the last two weeks. Grab some pine, Clay. |
Other Kickers with unfavorable matchups: Gary Kral (Arizona) vs Nashville, Jess Obert (New York) vs Columbus, Nelson Garner (Georgia) vs Austin |
