Player Rankings for Week 8

The positional rankings are for Arena fantasy football fans who want that extra edge in setting their weekly lineups.

A fantasy player's most recent performances are taken into account, as well as upcoming opponent, injury status and the focus of that player's offense.

  1. Clint Dolezel
  2. Mark Grieb
  3. John Dutton
  4. Jason Fife
  5. Matt D'Orazio
  6. Matt Nagy
  7. Shane Stafford
  8. Sonny Cumbie
  9. Tony Graziani
  10. Sherdrick Bonner
  11. John Fitzgerald
  12. Joe Hamilton
  13. Chad Salisbury
  14. John Kaleo
  15. Leon Murray

Shane Stafford must be downgraded until we know the full extent of his rib injury, which severely hampered him last week. Clint Stoerner and Joe Germaine are both out for a while, but only Stoerner's replacement, Leon Murray warrants your attention. If Jason Fife continues to play well, he'll be the Rookie of the Year. Fife runs a nice game in Vegas and has weapons. Sonny Cumbie ate up the Sabercats last week and I expect Matt Nagy to do the same.

  1. Damien Harrell
  2. Siaha Burley
  3. Marcus Nash
  4. Chris Jackson
  5. TT Toliver
  6. Tony Locke
  7. Jamin Elliot
  8. Marcus Knight
  9. CJ Johnson
  10. Kevin Swayne
  11. Terrill Shaw
  12. Demetris Bendross

Whenever Marcus Nash is listed as Questionable, don't believe a word of it as truth. Chris Jackson returned, scored four times and looked very healthy. He's among the elite. That "THUMP" you heard was Carl Bond falling off the pedestal. That other "THUMP" was CJ Johnson falling off an even higher pedestal. Marcus Knight was cut by the Soul and re-signed by Columbus in time to play against the very same Soul. Doesn't that just sound like an Afternoon Special? Expect some stats from Knight.

  1. James Roe
  2. Kevin Ingram
  3. Derek Lee
  4. Kevin Nickerson
  5. Will Pettis
  6. Bobby Sippio
  7. Anthony Hines
  8. Timon Marshall
  9. Etu Molden
  10. Dialleo Burks
  11. JJ McKelvey
  12. Randy Gatewood
  13. Mike Horacek
  14. Cornelius White
  15. Lawrence Samuels
  16. Greg Hopkins
  17. Andy McCullough
  18. Orshwante Bryant
  19. Jerrian James

Derek Lee should bounce back from a disappointing week to become the all-time leading scorer in Force history. Timon Marshall could easily fine himself in the Top 5 if his play continues. Keep an eye on the Tampa QB situation and temper expectations for Lawrence Samuels and Bobby Sippio if Stafford rests his ribs. Kevin Nickerson had an outstanding game and Austin will work him into the gameplan more versus the hapless Brigade. Etu Molden returned and looked tough doing it. He is among the elite WRs when he's healthy.

  1. Dane Krager
  2. Robert Thomas
  3. Chad Dukes
  4. Marlon Moye-Moore
  5. Duke Pettijohn
  6. Bob McMillen
  7. Dawan Moss
  8. Bo Kelly
  9. Phil Glover
  10. Rodney Filer

Dane Krager still leads this list, but Duke Pettijohn and Chad Dukes have been playing much better than The Dane lately. Bob McMillen is 1 yard away from the all-time rushing record and you have to wonder how long the Rush will drag his agony out. Phil Glover will benefit from San Jose's resurgent offense and the West division's weak defenses.

  1. Rashad Floyd
  2. Chris Brown
  3. Damon Mason
  4. Jeroid Johnson
  5. Kahlil Carter
  6. Antuan Simmons
  7. TJ Hill
  8. Jermaine Jones
  9. Jonathan Ordway
  10. Jeremy Unertl
  11. Kevin Gaines
  12. Denario Smalls
  13. Clevan Thomas
  14. Nate Coggins
  15. Eddie Moten
  16. Delvin Hughley
  17. Johnnie Harris

Rashad Floyd is enforcing himself as the elite DS and was constantly around the ball against Chicago. Kahlil Carter was traded to Orlando and reportedly will play both ways, helping his stats greatly. Antuan Simmons had 9 solo tackles and has been very good since returning to the lineup. Mysteriously enough, DeShane Dennis didn't play a down for NY last week. Jeroid Johnson took back two INTs for TDs last week.

  1. Remy Hamilton
  2. Peter Martinez
  3. Todd Sievers
  4. Carlos Martinez
  5. Steve Videtich
  6. Dan Frantz
  7. Bill Gramatica
  8. Brian Schmitz
  9. Todd France
  10. Jay Taylor

Dan Frantz folded like a house of cards last week. Bill Gramatica actually almost made a believer out of me last week, but let's give it one more week, shall we? Todd France was the beneficiary of the Soul going into a shell last week, nailing two FGs for the only 2nd half points. He is now 2nd among kickers in points scored.
